Cravings, cravings, cravings. Watch this weeks video (below). Beth brings up some great points about cravings, and how to overcome them. Her cravings started kicking in from a lack of sleep. This is totally normal. Do you think that not having enough sleep will make you tired, and off your game? For sure! And that’s exactly why the craving come around. Until you’ve built up your body to only crave quality foods (this took me many months), you will crave bad foods in times of stress (like lack of sleep). The absolute coolest thing is how Beth delt with her craving. You gotta watch the video!

During our conversations this week Beth asked if her lack of weight loss could have been due to eating so much steak, and the salt (water weight) that comes with the steak. It’s a great question! The answer is, if she had a disproportionate amount of salt to water consumed, it is possible that she held some water weight. But I’m not convinced that is where the lack of weight loss is coming from. Beth is crushing her cardio workouts (running & walking), but she’s had a bit of a struggle getting the CrossFit workouts done the last couple of weeks. I believe that is where the lack of weight loss is coming from, and I’m going to build her up to 5 CrossFit workouts every week after her 5k race. This should allow enough stimulus for adding new muscle, and burning tons of fat!
