- And much, much more.
**As a disclaimer, always check with your doctor before trying any of these techniques to make sure that you are healthy enough for physical activity, and the exercises listed below.
Tip #1 – Move to improve your energy
You probably saw this one coming, but here you have it. If you get your body moving you will increase you energy levels, and mental wellbeing.
This can be a super easy thing, like going for a short walk first thing in the morning, during your lunch break, or when you get home from work.
Or you could take it up a notch, and do something more intense, like a max set up pushups at any of the above times.
Or 50 air squats as fast as you can.
Or there’s a great Tony Robbins priming exercise that I like to do. It’s on audio, and you can get their by going to allaroundjoe.com/trpriming
Tip #2 – Breath to improve your energy
I know, I know… you’re breathing all day long.
But the truth is, you’re probably not breathing the way you should be.
Let me ask you… when you breath in, how deep are your breaths?
If they are anything less than max capacity, you can do more, and get far better results.
Breathing deep will stimulate your parasympathetic nervous system, which will make you feel more relaxed, centered, and alive.
Try doing the Wim Hof breathing for 3 rounds to see what I mean.
– Take 30 deep breaths
– On the 30th breath exhale all your air out, and hold your breath as long as you can
– Repeat 2 more times
Tip #3 – Drink a green shake
Now, those Saint Patties Day green milkshakes that McDonalds has aren’t what I’m talking about.
I’m talking about getting a bunch of organic green leafy vegetables, loading them into a blender with some organic full fat yogurt, a scoop of your protein powder of choice, blending like crazy, and gulping that deliciousness down!
Well, it may or may not be deliciousness to you, but every time that I drink one of these I feel energized!
Some optional ingredients that I like to throw into my green shakes from time to time are:
* Matcha green tea – a little jolt of caffeine
* AMRAP nutrition super greens – just some more awesome
* Udo’s oils – fats from flax oils will make the shake a little more filling
Tip #4 – Take a cold shower or cold dip
I guessing that this is going to be the least favorite of the tips, but I’m going to tell you that it’s probably the most effective.
So, if you can muster it, give this a try.
All you need is a shower that will get cold. Right now I’m in Phoenix AZ, and the shower water does not get cold enough to get the desired effect.
If you can’t find a shower that will get cold enough, try finding a river. In most cases rivers will be coming from some kind of snow melt, and will provide you will the coldness needed to drastically increase you energy levels.
If you are new to this, you probably only need to expose yourself to the water for 30’ish seconds.
If it feels really cold to you try taking deep breaths as you enter, and sit in the cold water. This should help with your bodies circulation, which is what will keep your organs warm, and safe.
When you get out you will feel ON FIRE with energy!
Tip #5 – Hangout with an energy giver
This one can be a little harder if you do it in person, but the cool thing here is that you can find energy givers on audio or video.
What I mean by this is, people are all on a wide spectrum of energy takers, meaning you feel drained when you are around them.
To energy givers, meaning you feel energized when you are around them.
If you know someone who’s a big energy giver in your life, try to spend more time with them.
If you don’t know someone in your life who is an energy giver, then find someone you can read about, listen to, or watch.
My favorite energy givers are…
Tony Robbins – Podcast – Courses
Tim Ferriss – Podcast – Books
Gary Vee – Books
