Today I packed up my things into a small North Face backpack, and started my adventure to the Philippines. This is a trip designed around building internet businesses, and put together by the guys over at the TropicalMBA.com. When I started my packing list I knew this would be an adventure different than any adventure I’d gone on before. Here’s what’s coming with me:

It’s amazing how light my bag feels! I’ve gone on weekend trips and packed more things than this. But carrying so little feels really freeing. It feels good!
Something that’s interesting about the Philippines is that you are granted a 21 day stay in the country (unless you make further arrangements), and you prove this by having an outbound ticket in hand when you land (or so I’m told). When I asked the booking agent while checking in at the airport he agreed that was the case, but in broken english told me I’d be fine because I have an e-ticket. We went back and forth 2 or 3 times in an attempt to get on the same page, and hopefully we did, but the agent wasn’t too reassuring. So I have an printed itinerary in hand to prove my return flight. Hopefully this works…
Even though I have a bunch of almonds and protein bars I’m betting on the food in the Philippines to be on the healthy side. I even emailed a local Manila CrossFit gym, who emailed me right back saying they’d love to have me drop in. As of right now I’m not sure if I’ll be close enough to the gym to stop in for a WOD, but I’ll do my best.
During this adventure I’ll do my best to keep the blogs coming, and let you know the creative ways that I’ll be keeping up with my workouts.
