This email is coming to you from Steamboat Springs, and it’s crazy weather. Last week we had a low of 1 degree F, and today the low is 29 F AND 14” OF NEW SNOW on the mountain. It definitely keeps you on your toes!
Here’s what I found fun, interesting, or noteworthy this week…
Alcohol substitute that you can FEEL –
There are a number of health/nutrition experts talking about Tru Kava on the socials right now. It’s said to have health benefits without the MASSIVE health negatives of alcohol. Yes, MASSIVE!!! If you drink alcohol you are immediately putting yourself at a health deficit compared to someone who doesn’t drink.
So we thought we’d try Tru Kava (which can be found at Sprouts Market).
Tru Kava is marketed as making you feel Focused, Relaxed, Inspired, and more social.
You know what… it works!!
We’ve only had one can at a time, so I don’t know if having more than one would increase your buzz (like alcohol). BUT THIS STUFF IS RAD if you are the type of person that knows you shouldn’t drink but need some social lubrication OR nighttime relaxation (and don’t want alcohol to ruin your sleep).
Our NEW YouTube Video –
Spence Mountain Shredding: MTB Jank, Jumps, Crashes, and Van Life Sunsets in Klamath Falls ??
Spence Mountain in Klamath Falls Oregon was such an amazing surprise. Klamath Falls is usually one of those places you want to get into for some fuel, and out of fast because of the homeless issues.
But the trail association is really pushing for more mountain bike tourism, and if they keep building trails like this… the tourism is coming!!
You should definitely stop in Klamath Falls for some mountain biking the next time you’re driving through. And there’s TONS of free camping (for now. Don’t ruin it)!
Thought I’ve been pondering –
Nobody cares
Someone wrote this on the whiteboard at the gym.
The thing is, you want to do things thinking that nobody cares about if the things you want to do are getting held back by caring what others think. But the truth is, everyone cares and they are just too scared to admit it. And you really want to have everyone care, because we are (and should be) a community that cares about each other.
So, how about this… let’s care MORE!!!
If you can help a fellow person in your community (or at the gym)… let them know that you care. I’m not saying to just give them your unsolicited opinion. Show them that you care by saying HI and asking questions. Even if they are doing hip thrusts or the adductor machine ;-).

That’s what I have for you this week. I care, so let me know if you need anything!
Cheers!
