Hi!
This email is coming to your from our campsite in our van down by the Snake River :-). And we have pretty darn good cell service!
I wanted to first say… that I hope you’re staying healthy, and making good decisions during these interesting times, and if you need help with that I’m here for you.
Here’s what I found noteworthy this week.

Our FREE At-Home Workout Program –
Unless you’ve had your head in the sand for the last year… you know that we have the online at-home fitness/nutrition/movement program called The Get Better Project. This program is built from the workouts that Emily and I actually do to get us into top physical (and mental) shape. And most of the time we only use dumbbells or bodyweight. Hence living in a van…
Well, we want to support all of you that are stuck in quarantine by giving you 30 days of our program on the house.
This includes daily workouts (from beginner to advanced), and weekly coaching on diet, stress, sleep, and movement.
We’ve had a bunch of people take advantage of this so far, and want to make sure you know it’s here for you if you want it.
Just email back if you want in.
My lasted podcast –
AAJ 241: A Conversation with Rowan Minnion, CEO of Blonyx
Blonyx is one of my favorite nutrition companies, and Rowan could be my brother from another mother. Serious! We both are into snowboarding, mountain biking, fitness, and pizza is our favorite food (with or without pineapple).
The only bad thing about this is that my internet in Jackson Hole wasn’t fast enough for capturing video, so you have to listen only.
For being such a cool, high end place, Jackson Hole really needs to up their internet and cell service game. It’s really, really slow!
What I think you should be reading if… –
If you’re feeling real economic hardship right now… you NEED to read and PRACTICE I Will Teach You to Be Rich by Ramit Sethi
This one is a little more personal, but I think that with people being in economic hardships we need to talk about it.
I can’t tell you how many people I’ve heard complaining about not having enough money because they can’t work. Well, if you’d been saving up a runway of funds in case of hard times (job loss, company loss, virus, just need a break from life, etc.), you’d be ok.
A runway of funds… the amount of time that you have with your current spending habits/lifestyle before you crash off the end of the runway.
In the book Ramit Sethi recommends having at least a 6 month runway. Which means that financially you’d be able to live your exact same life as if you were working for 6 months before shit hits the fan. I say that once you hit 6 months, save to 12 months. So you have a whole year that you could hide out in the woods (which would probably cost less) if you wanted/needed to, and financially be fine.
If you have this money saved… double high five, chest bump, and a big hug for you! Once this virus thing is over, of course.
If not, read it!!!!

Ok, that was only 3 things today, but I wrote longer than usual, so I’m going to stop now. If you need anything at all, I’m here for you!
Cheers!
Joe
