Here’s what I found fun, interesting, or noteworthy this week…

Our latest Ecuador video –
Exploring and mountain biking down Cotopaxi!
Cotopaxi is breathtaking, and SO much higher than anything we have in the states (19,347?). Not to mention the riding was CRAZY with, well, you should just watch. It’s like nothing I’ve ridden before.
If you like these… please hit that Like button. It totally helps out our channel. Thanks!
Motivation in your pocket –
The phrase that I like is “we don’t wait for motivation”. It’s cool if you get “motivated” to do something cool, like start a workout program, or sign up for a marathon (or 100 miler), but motivation will only get you so far. And it’s really the process, habits, and grit that will get you to your goals.
The people that wait for motivation to keep them going will never make it to their potential.
You can try to disagree with this, but you give me an example of accomplishing something really hard that you were able to ride motivation all the way to success… You can’t. At some point you have to get the work done when you don’t feel like it.
But, what I’m getting at here is that you can get that spark of motivation by attending an event like the Leadville 100 (or some other ultra event), or the CrossFit Games. They say that you are a different person after doing an ultra distance event, and I 100# AGREE!!
Find something that will change you! And do it!
So, please, if you need a KICK IN THE ASS to move towards being more fit, and a better person overall… attend an event that will give you that motivation. Then, sign up for something, schedule your training, and say fuck motivation! I’m going to reach my goals with or without it!
What we are re-watching (for the 3rd time) –
Ted Lasso on Apple TV
Guys, there are just SO many good lessons that we can get from this show!
Someone WAY more successful than me once said… rather than continuing to search for the next thing to consume, really double down on deeply learning the things that you already know are great.
I think this is so true in our lives of constantly getting new things to see and listen to. But, if you find something great (like Ted Lasso)… watch/listen/read that thing until it’s internalized and a part of you.
Another tidbit that comes to mind as I’m talking about re-watching Ted Lasso, is that we should all have read How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie many, many, many, many times!! It will make you more successful and the world a better place! I guarantee it!
