Hi!
This email is coming to you from up in the orchard filled hills of Lake Chelan WA. Where we’ve experienced almost 70 degrees and snow in the same week. Where we are feeling excited & grateful!
And before we get started, I know there is a lot of suffering going on right now, and I feel terrible about it, but I have to tell you, I’m excited to see how the world changes for the better because of these times!

Things I’m Excited & Grateful for Right Now –
– Technology in general – Having the ability to do so much from our phones, computers, and tablets in times like this is so amazing!
– Zoom (and other conferencing services) – I’ve been using Zoom meetings (and the like) for well over 4 years (almost every week) and it has been SO valuable right now to connect with family/friends, take in-person meetings online, and to do business (for me, doing live workouts and coaching).
– Grocery delivery – Yep, grocery delivery makes this list! Haha! I don’t think I’ll ever enter another grocery store, unless I’m doing work there (like at Whole Foods because it rocks), or I have to go to the bathroom. This provides so much time savings (for doing other things). And you have to plan what you’re going to eat in advance. Which, I don’t know about you, but I never buy treats unless I’m hungry and looking at them. 😉
My latest podcast –
All about keto and CrossFit with Joe Ward. Joe has kept all his muscle, become shredded (like super shredded), and is still crushing workouts with massive amounts of energy!
And get this, all while eating so much fat/calories it’s hard to believe!
So, this is 100% worth a listen if… You want to get super lean. You want lots of energy. You have high blood sugar. You have brain fog. You want to know how the ketogenic diet works, and why it works.
What I’m watching for entertainment –
The new CrossFit movie, The Fittest – Which is a very entertaining documentary style movie about all of the happenings that have shaken up the CrossFit world over the last year and a half. If you like CrossFit… watch The Fittest. If not… pass.
New technology that I’m excited about –
The new iPad Pro with the floating keyboard and trackpad. If this would allow me to throw away my computer… I would do it in a second and run straight to the Apple Store (as soon as they open again…) to buy one. Or see if I can get it delivered to the van… 🙂
The most delicious homemade meal of the week –
Emily’s throw together dinner. Mixed greens, goat cheese, field roast, butternut squash, mushrooms, and balsamic vinegarette! Stay healthy out there everybody! This is the BOMB!!!
You know when ingredients all mix together to form something even better… this is one of those times.
———
That’s what I have for you this week.
REMEMBER we want to support you in these times of at-home living. So, if you need to get fit, stay fit, or be fitter… please join our 30 days of the Get Better Project for free. It’s a great community of healthy, happy, and fit (or getting fit) people (in their 20’s to late 60’s) being supportive during these interesting times. Just let me know, and you’re in if you want it.
Cheers!
Joe
PS there’s so much that we can feel excited & grateful for right now in the world, just make sure that’s what you’re focusing on. #turnthenewsoff
