This email is coming to you from a campsite outside of Flagstaff AZ, where we are about to make the drive to Cortez CO to explore some new mountain bike trails :-). New to us.
Here’s what I found fun, interesting, or noteworthy this week…

The new way I’m watching football (and LOVING) –
The NFL Game Pass. After not being able to figure out how to watch the Seahawks game live last Sunday, I decided to try out the NFL Game Pass which allows you to watch the replay of games as soon as they are finished.
Here’s the REALLY COOL part… you can pick how to watch the replays with options that take out ALL of the commercials and game delays. So you get all of the game (all of it) without the terrible advertising.
I think I’m going to watch all of the Seahawks games like this for the rest of the year. The commercials are just too much BS crap for me.
PS if you still want to watch live NFL games this is a GREAT resource!
Top adventure of the week –
Mountain biking the HiLine Trail in Sedona (my video here – TrailForks). The guy at the bike shop said the HiLine trail was a Sedona “must do!” I have NEVER ridden a downhill this steep or technical. Talk about being scared and building confidence all at the same time. Wowza!
Side note: you can walk all of the technical downhill on the HiLine trail if you are in the area and not sure if you’re ready for this much excitement.
Workout of the week –
Step Down by the Get Better Project
This one gets spicy before you know it, so watch out! 🙂 Fitness if you want it…
Thought I’ve been pondering –
If you ever wanted to try the mobile living (and working) lifestyle… try it now! COVID has been a blessing for people that want to try this.
Things might go back to normal (office life), who knows. And if they do, and you thought you’d try the mobile thing at some point… don’t wait.
Living (and working) from our van has been the best decision of our lives, hands down (well, besides putting health and fitness above all else).
When you can move where you work, you can have all of the cool things that you want to explore right in your backyard (literally). Then when you’re done working for the day, you can do the fun things!
And it’s actually not that I want the campgrounds to be fuller than they already are, but I’m yet to meet a #vanlifer that has been unhappy. And that’s what I want for you, to be as happy as you can be. That’s what I push all this fitness stuff, because I’ve seen the light of how it makes you feel when you can do virtually anything and feel your best. There’s nothing like it. Nothing. And van life is a close second to being as fit/healthy as you can be.

Anyway, that’s what I have for you this week. I wish you all the best in health and happiness, and I’m here for you if you need anything that I can help with.
Cheers!
Joe
