What I’m stoked over the moon about –
WE HIT OUR GOAL OF 1000 YOUTUBE SUBSCRIBERS
Back in September Emily and I created (what felt like) a stretch goal of hitting 1000 YouTube subscribers by the end of the year. At the time we only had around 500, and it felt like we were working hard for every single one.
Thank you so much for helping us accomplish this goal! We couldn’t have done it without you!!!
What do you think our subscriber goal should be for 2023? 🙂
Thought I’ve been pondering –
Perspective is everything
I’m learning this big time right now in the form of jumping my mountain bike. I’ve recently started hitting 10+ foot gap jumps, and there is something magical about accomplishing a thing that you didn’t think was possible for a long time.
It’s like unlocking a bonus level in your mind!
Now my perspective has completely changed, and everything under 10 feet seems easy.
Is there anything in your life that you’ve unlocked like this? OR is there something that you’re working on unlocking? We can totally learn from each other!
Book that I’m re-reading –
A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson Amazon
There are a lot fun tidbits of information that I forgot from reading the book that first time. So reading it again is quite enjoyable!
If you haven’t read it… it’s a funny account of hiking the Appalachian Trail, including some REALLY interesting stuff about the Parks Service, and other government entities role in handling nature in the US.

If you watch to end of this one you’ll see this rock feature that I 100% thought I was going over the bars on, but somehow my bike saved me. It scared the cr** out of me!!
Very fun trail though! And I think I’ve figured out how to make the videos play back super clear in 4k. You might have to force your system to playback in 4k if it looks unclear to you (in the YouTube settings cog).
