I know that I said last week was the last email coming from Steamboat Springs, but I lied. We decided to stay another week because there’s not much snow coming down around these parts. But next week… 🙂
Here’s what I found fun, interesting, or noteworthy this week…

New toy I’m using all the time –
We’ve been using a GoPro 8 ever since we went on our Grand Canyon rafting trip at the end of last summer. It’s been awesome for shooting action videos when we are whitewater rafting, mountain biking, snowboarding, and even fitnessing. The clarity and durability are crazy!
But, something we’ve longed for is having video from multiple perspectives. For example, if I’m wearing the GoPro we get first person from me and Emily snowboarding/etc, but I’m never in the shots.
Now we get both of us in the shots and have the ability to capture B Roll footage, which can make longer videos more fun to watch.
I’m also really enjoying the much longer battery life in the 9, and the front facing screen for selfie shooting.
I’m including a link to the 50 piece goodie package on Amazon. We’ve used most of these pieces.
What I’m eating –
EVOKE Organic Muesli Athlete Fuel
Tastes great and the only ingredients are: oats, raisins, almonds, flax seeds, cashews, and pumpkin seeds.
I love this stuff with some low sugar oat milk when I need extra carbs!
Amazing meal that I hope you can try –
Pork Belly Ramen at Joki in Steamboat Springs
First, I don’t like ramen but there were such good reviews on this ramen that I decided to bite the bullet and give the ramen a try. Holy smokes, so glad that I did!!! Freaking amazing meal right here! Marinated pork belly, mushrooms, an over easy egg, all over ramen noodle and a delicious broth.
They are a small business that is ONLY taking 3 table reservations a night (currently weekends only). We got one of these reservations and what a cool experience it was!
Thought I’ve been pondering –
I miss smiles! Man, I feel like because our mouths are covered people are giving so many more blank stares than ever before. We can look at eyes but it’s just not the same.
Without a mask on you can make eye contact and smile at a complete stranger, and (I would say) 95% of people will smile back. It’s pretty cool because when this happens you both get a jolt of feel goods.
So, I can’t wait for the masks to get thrown in the trash and we can have smiles back. 😀

That’s what I have for you this week. If you need anything at all, please let me know.
Cheers,
Joe
PS we keep getting amazing people into the Get Better Project! I mean, it’s not growing as fast as I’d like (because I’m sure I have the messaging wrong) but the people that do find there way in are TOTALLY AWESOME, and the average person stays for over a year!!! So, we are looking for more awesome people that want to thrive physically (and look good doing it). Let me know if that’s you.
