Hi!
This email is coming to you from a dinning room table in Enumclaw WA where 3 standing desks have been created with packing boxes. It’s dinner room turned at-home work station.
Here’s what I found fun, interesting, or noteworthy this week.

My latest podcast –
AAJ 255: A scientific approach to macros
If you’d like to get your eating in check the same way that professional nutrition coaches do it… because you don’t want to hire someone (or join the Get Better Project)… I’ve outlined how to do it in this podcast and blog post.
For some reason people seem to think there’s some kind of magic or fad to getting your nutrition right, but it’s all a scientific approach.
Let me know if you have any questions.
App that I’m enjoying –
XPT Life breathing app
I’ve been a fan of breathing exercises and cold therapy ever since finding Wim Hof about 5 years ago. And over the last few months Emily and my good friend (and Get Better Project coach) Rory have been telling me to try this XPT app.
So I finally started using it (XPT Life app), and am really enjoying it!
And, there’s a lot of (what I consider) the good stuff in the XPT Life app that’s 100% free in the app.
Right now, I’m doing the morning routine every other day, and Wim Hof breathing every other day.
Thought that I’m pondering –
The long term effects of fasting on mood and anxiety
Ever since doing the Fasting Mimicking Diet I’m noticeably more relaxed and more calm in high stress situations. Which has been exceptionally beneficial during a pandemic full of people making interesting decisions.
The thought that I’m pondering is… what if more people tried multi day fasting, and if they did, would we all be more relaxed and able to handle stress better…
I bet it would be a positive thing.
If you’re thinking about trying it, I applaud you and support you. Even if it’s only for health reasons. I’m a fan! And what’s 5 days of less food than normal for all of the benefits..!

That’s what I have for you this week. I don’t have a lot of new books (on content) because I’ve been re-reading books that I’ve already told you about to really learn the content.
If you need anything at all please let me know!
Cheers!
Joe
