Hi!
Happy Friday! Here’s what I’ve found fun, interesting, or noteworthy this week.

My latest podcast –
AAJ 258: A day of eating, and why I’m eating it
If you want to hear about what my diet has morphed into over the years of trial and error, blood testing, and taste preference… here we go!
What I’m using to get better sleep –
Manta Sleep Mask on amazon
This sleep mask was recommended to us by an attorney on our Rio Grand Canoeing adventure a few years ago. She LOVED the mask and let us know many times. So, finally, when this summer started rolling around, and we knew we’d want the windows open to get more breeze, we made the purchase.
Blacking out your sleep environment is so critical for optimizing your sleep quality, and if you can’t completely black out your room… Getting a mask is a great idea.
Anyway, the Manta Sleep Mask has these rings that are bigger than your eyes that allow there to be no pressure on your eyes when wearing the mask. It’s the most comfortable sleep mask I’ve tried.
And another cool thing! After wearing the Manta Sleep Mask for a few months, and tracking when I wear it on Whoop, it recently told me that I have a 14% higher HRV on the nights that I wear it. Kinda cool!
What I’m reading –
American Assassin by Vince Flynn
I was looking for a new fiction book series to consume and this came highly recommended by a friend of the family.
So far I’m about 70% into the first book and can’t put it down.
It really hooked me by going pretty in-depth into the assassin training school that the lead character goes through.
Thought I’ve been pondering –
Successful people have coaches and mentors
Ever since college I’ve always naturally sought out coaches, mentors, or people that knew more than me about things that I wanted to learn.
But it’s easy to get away from it as an adult and think we should do it all on our own. Well, this couldn’t be farther from the truth!
And after being coached by my good friend Rory for the last few months on improving my life and business in general, I’m reminded how invaluable this is. A good coach will bring things to light that you didn’t even think about. It’s amazing!
So, I’d like to encourage you to get a coach or mentor for something in your life that you’d like to improve. You could look into something like coach.me or search the internet for an expert and start a relationship with them.
We should never get too old to have a coach or mentor that we can talk to and learn from.

That’s what I have for you this week. If you need anything at all please let me know. Have a great weekend!
Cheers,
Joe
