Hey Ya’ll!
This is a very special Friday because it’s the start of the CrossFit Games season. If you don’t know what that is, you can check it out here.
Anyway, the first workout was released last night, and that will be followed by one new workout each week for a total of five weeks.
This time of year brings excitement and butterflies to the stomachs of CrossFitters all over the world, and if you want to follow the chaos, you should checkout my Instagram.
Enough about that (it’s making me nervous just talking about it), here’s what I’ve found, pondered, etc over the week…
What I’m wearing – I had a good friend (Michael) highly recommend this Patagonia Nano-Air Hoody to me, and ever since I got one, I wear it almost everyday that it’s clean (and some days when it’s a little smelly). It feels like wearing a breathable down sleeping bag. And I will definitely be buying at least one more of them.
What I’m drinking – During one of my very few late night, couldn’t sleep, podcast binges I heard Tim Ferriss talking about this mushroom coffee that had nootropic effects. Basically that means that it makes your brain function better, and you feel super productive. So, at 2am I purchased some Four Sigmatic Mushroom Coffee Mix with Lion’s Mane & Chaga. The first time I drank the mushroom coffee I was so focused that I completely redesigned my website in one day. This can take weeks, so I surprised even myself.
What I’m reading – Shoe Dog by Phil Knight, which is the creator of Nike. I originally saw this book as a suggestion from Bill Gates, and it hasn’t disappointed. If you enjoy stories, and the struggles of building a company, you’ll really like this book.
What I’m excited about – The CrossFit Open is HERE!!! And I feel like I am personally more ready than I have ever been. And being the type of person that likes to share, I created a podcast that talks about exactly what I’m doing to perform at my best. This is good info for anyone looking to perform in any sport at a high level. Listen here
My most popular post on Instagram – Track day with Chuck Kramer. A short video while doing a track workout with my girlfriends father. He’s a machine!
