Hi!
After the long warm summer that we’ve had here in Seattle, it feels like Fall is on it’s way. So, I’ve been doing some cold therapy to get ready. See below…
Here’s what I’ve found interesting, or been up to this week.
Purchase that I’m loving –
I’ve been wanting one of these for some time, and after putting in a bit of research time (like 3 hours), I bought a NutriBullet Pro. I went with the Pro instead of the Rx after reading a bunch of reviews on issues with the Rx, not needing a soup maker, and because of the dual colossal cups with shaker style lids that come with the Pro.
And, my oh my does this NutriBullet put our blender to shame! Yesterday it pulverized some dinosaur kale for my Mean Green Shake in seconds. The same kale that caused our blender to overheat!
Cold Therapy –
The Sahale Glacier. Yep, that’s an actual glacier behind me.
It seemed like a good idea to take advantage of nature, and put all of the cold showers that I’ve been taking to work. I’ve pretty much taken a cold shower everyday since last November. After seeing Wim Hof speak.
What I’m listening to –
Conditioning-Biased Programming by Ben Bergeron.
If you’ve ever written a workout program, or want to further understand how coaches think about programming, this is an interesting listen.
I can’t say that I fully agree, and think there is a point where you need to consider what your customers want, and what they need to have a successful business (or CrossFit gym).
My top Instagram post –
Staying warm at the Sahale Glacier with @kramee4. In 3 days the weather went from smoky, to socked in cloudy, to kinda sunny, to super windy and cold. This was from the super windy and cold part of the trip.
