This email is coming to you from the Bar M mountain bike trailhead outside of Moab UT (keep reading for Slickrock Trail). When you work so close to the trail you can hit a 15 min blaster and then get back to work. I highly recommend it!
Here’s what I found interesting, fun, or noteworthy this week.

My top adventure –
Riding the Slickrock Trail in Moab Trailforks
When Emily said “hey, you want to ride the Slickrock Trail after work today?” I was thinking… yeah, I’m pretty beat up so that will be fun and I’ll just take it easy.
Little did I know that the Slickrock Trail is filled with massively steep ups about every 1/4 mile over the 10 miles of riding.
So to say that I unintentionally blasted myself would be a huge understatement!
BUT the Slickrock Trail was incredibly epic (even if I need to sleep for 2 days). Hahaha!
Workout of the week –
Bells Up by The Get Better Project
Gain yourself a rock solid rear chain from hammies to glutes to your whole back with this one. And top it off with some ripped calves from a couple double unders 😉
Easy breezy! All you need is 1 kettlebell or dumbbell.
Purchase I’m loving –
Pearl Izumi Journey Riding Shorts
Talk about riding comfort! These biking shorts might be more comfortable than any of my lounging shorts.
I’ve tried on every pair of shorts at every bike shop between Moab and Sedona, and these are the winners for comfort, looks, and they don’t hang way over your knees. Side note: Why does anyone want riding shorts that are hanging over their knees… especially with most people wearing knee guards (if they care about their knee health).

That’s what I have for you this week. If you need anything let me know. I’ll just be out here working as hard as I can, recovering to the best of my ability, and doing it all over again :-). #getbetterproject
Cheers! You rock!
Joe
