Hi!
I’m coming atcha from Lake Tahoe (on the California side) on this fine Friday morning! Here’s what I’ve found fun, interesting, or delicious this week.

My latest podcast –
AAJ 145: Track EVERYTHING
I have talked about tracking things many times on the old AAJ podcast, but this is the first time that I’ve dedicated the whole show to this topic.
Who needs this… well, if there’s any part in your fitness game that is not improving as fast as you’d like it to, or if you have no idea where to start, or if you just need a turbo boost… I would give this show a listen as soon as you can, and start tracking now.
What I’m reading and enjoying –
The Noticer by Andy Andrews
This is book came up on my radar after posting to Facebook asking…
“If you could only read one book for the next 5 years, and that book was chosen because you wanted to ingrained the principles of the book into your being, or take on the characteristics of the author… what book would it be?
You must read it over and over.
Can’t be the Bible.”
Here’s a link to the post if you’d like to contribute.
Back to the book… I’m really enjoying the story telling way The Noticer is written, and there are some great life principles that are written in a way that I haven’t heard them before. It’s definitely worth your time.
Who I’m following on Instagram –
CrossFit Games athlete Jacob Heppner
Lately Jacob has been known as the fittest person in the world to not make it past the CrossFit Open (the first part of the annual CrossFit competition) due to having just one really bad workout that had a strange handstand pushup standard.
Jacob posts a lot of fun workouts, has a goofy personality, and is someone who us fitness junkies look up to. Oh, and some of his workouts involve shooting guns! Which if nothing else… they are fun to watch.
Hike that I’d highly recommend –
The Rubicon Trail in Lake Tahoe
This is an all levels hike/trail run that is a little over 10 miles (round trip), and skirts the shores of the incredibly beautiful Lake Tahoe!

That’s what I have for you this week. If you’re in the Tahoe area and want to grab a workout… let me know. Or if there’s anything that I can help with, just ask.
Cheers!
Joe
