This email is coming to you from sunny Bend Oregon, at this great little coffee shop called Thump. This week we crushed 3 days of longer driving in a row from Steamboat Springs to Bend, all so we can get some Spring snowboarding at Mount Bachelor, and be within striking distance of Seattle (and some family time).
Here’s what I found fun, interesting, or noteworthy this week…

Our top adventure –
10 mile trail run out near Vernal Utah
AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING trail running terrain and views!!!
You can checkout my Garmin map and biometrics here (kinda cool), and a fun short video of the run here.
Thought I’ve been pondering –
Happiness is infectious
This is truer than true, and the city of Bend has prompted me to think about this. We have a few places around the country that we LOVE to go back to. And one of the major factors is that the people are nice and happy.
I’m not saying that everyone in these place are happy, but there are pockets where happiness prevails. For example, Pine Mountain Sports is one of these places. The employees are (pretty much) always happy and fun to be around.
If you’ve been reading Feel Good Friday for a while then you know that I’m a HUGE advocate for making sure the 5 people that you spend the most time around are people that you want to be like (this also goes for books you read). And I think this is a rippling of that same effect.
Moral of the story… go to places that have lots of happy people because it will bleed into you being.
Social media app that I’m enjoying –
Plann That (I have the free version)
I’ve been using this social posting app for The Vantastic Life Instagram account, and the major cool thing about it is that it prompts you to post things based on your lifestyle.
For example, you can pick that your account is about Travel and they will give you a grid with prompts to post things like… your travel buddy, or behind the scenes of the travel lifestyle, or your travel workspace (which just reminded me to post a pic of this).
Anyway, if you have a social account and would like to be more creative, this is a great app.

I feel like I don’t have a lot to talk about this week because we did so much driving. I’ll try my best to be more interesting next week. 🙂
If you need anything at all… please let me know!
Cheers!
Joe
PS I recently read that the average millennial gained over 40 pounds in the last year during COVID. This is absolutely unacceptable! If you know anyone that’s gained weight during this time… please send them to our 2 free weeks. We’ll help them.
