This email is coming to you from Richfield UT where we 4×4’d into our campsite last night. Always fun!
After spending a week or so in Moab it’s time to start our medium speed drive back up to Seattle for some van maintenance and to catch a flight out of the county…
Here’s what I found fun, interesting, or noteworthy this week…
Most fun I had all week –
Renting the new Norco Sight Mountain Bike
When we are in popular mountain biking areas like Moab, Hurricane, Fruita, etc.. we always take a look to see what bikes they are renting/demoing.
This time we got lucky and they happened to have this exciting new bike from Norco.
So, rather than sulk around because my bike was still in the shop (getting the frame warrantied), I rented this bike.
Something that I should note is that we rent bikes often and you don’t see me posting about them here. That’s because even though you rent a high end bike that bike doesn’t always make you feel all giggly inside.
This is the first bike that I’ve ridden in quite a while that I would be absolutely stoked to buy for myself.
I’ll be doing a full video review that will be posted right after the Oaxaca videos if you are in the bike market and want to know why I would buy it.
NEW YouTube Video –
Wild Ride on EL TORO Trail (Oaxaca Mountain Biking Day 3)
This was the most gnarly, fast paced ride we had during our whole Oaxaca adventure. The El Toro trail is a legit, steep, hard, chunky, fast, crazy trail that I made down the whole way and then crashed on the flat part. Haha!
What I’m snacking on –
If ya need something to snack on… find something that has more protein than any of the other macronutrients. And avoid vegetable oils if you like your brain to be clear.
These fit the bill and are very tasty! Not to mention the salmon is wild and it’s gluten free.
There is a little sugar, but the protein and fat will negate the glycemic spike.
