I’m writing to you from the G-Lot at Winter Park Resort, where we’ve been hitting one of the most fun jump trails we’ve ever found at a bike park (below)!
Here are a few things I found fun, interesting, or noteworthy this week…
Concert we went to:
Dierks Bentley at Red Rocks
Wow, if you ever get the chance to see a concert at Red Rocks, take it! It’s an incredible venue, and watching a great artist like Dierks Bentley there was a highlight of my summer. Definitely a bucket-list experience!
LEVELING UP:
This week, we had the unexpected opportunity to get some in-person mountain bike jump coaching from Max Mitchell (who I’ve been working with online for the last few months). And let me tell you, if you have the chance to invest in great coaching—whether it’s for biking or anything else—do it!
Coaching can help you progress so much faster than trying to figure things out on your own. I wish I’d realized this earlier! Professional coaching is hands down the fastest way to improve.
Most Fun Trail of the Week:
We ride so many trails that I’ve decided to start a “Favorite Trail of the Week” highlight…
This month’s winner (after much debate) is Rainmaker at Trestle Bike Park (Winter Park). It’s a black-level jump trail, over 2 miles long, packed with dozens of table tops and gap jumps. You’ll find step-ups, step-downs, and massive sends all the way down—seriously fun!
Our Next Video:
Speaking of coaches, I’m still working with our YouTube coach on our first Madeira, Portugal MTB video. My brain is feeling a little less stretched every day, but it’s still a workout!
As soon as the video’s ready, you’ll be the first to know!
That’s all I’ve got for you this week! Have an amazing weekend, filled with movement! We’re off to Spain on Sunday for some sightseeing and mountain biking!
Cheers,
Joe
