Today was a total crusher of a workout day! I started off the day with my first swimming workout since the Ironman, and the workout was a long interval day consisting of 8x 200 meters in Greenlake. After the swim I worked for a few hours and then met the crew at Stone Way CrossFit in Queen Anne for a killer of a Hero Workout. The WOD was “Murph” which is run 1 mile, 100 pull ups, 200 push ups, 300 squats, run 1 mile. All with a 25 pound weight vest. It was a killer!
The first run went pretty good at a slow pace and the pull ups, push ups and squats were good until about 10 minutes in when my legs started shaking and I thought for the first time that I might puke during a CrossFit workout. I was able to pace myself with short breaks and regain my composure to crank out the rest of the workout. Everything was finished in 49:27. Not my best day, but was a blast none the less! If you’re ever in the neighborhood near Stone Way CrossFit stop by for a workout or just to say hi!
Now get outside and have fun by working hard! 🙂
