In this episode you’ll learn about WHOOP, Unlock Human Performance, plus…
- What WHOOP actually does.
- Who uses the WHOOP strap.
- Why if you’re a hard charger you should probably be wearing one.
- Some fun stories about the WHOOP.
- And much, much more.
In this podcast AJ Baker and I talk about how the idea for the WHOOP started, and how it took about 4 years for the idea to turn into a wearable device.
We talk about what AJ does within WHOOP, and the type of people that work at WHOOP that make it the fun company that it is today.
AJ talks about how some of the most popular athletes that have used WHOOP are LeBron James, and Michael Phelps, as well as top CrossFitter Sam Dancer.
We also discuss how wearing the WHOOP strap is changing the way athletes look at their recovery, and how often they need to be training to get maximal results.
It’s interesting, more often than not, it’s seem like athletes are learning that they don’t need to be training as much as they thought to get maximal results.
Or that if they have a high recovery day, they should add extra to that day, but step back on the days where their recovery isn’t as high.
In the interview we talk about the sensors that WHOOP uses to gather all of the data to give you a recovery score, sleep tracking, and strain number.
At the end of the day I hope that you listen to this podcast, and learn how the WHOOP strap can improve your performance, and make you an all around healthier person!
