
We’re officially rolling again!
After three weeks of waiting for my bike’s warranty frame to show up, I finally got the call last Friday that it was ready. We bolted out of Ashland and pointed the van straight toward Oakridge, Oregon—one of our all-time favorite riding destinations.
It feels SO good to be back on the move!
Thinking About Restarting My Podcast ??
This might sound random, but lately I’ve been feeling the itch to bring back the AllAroundJoe Podcast.
I’ve recorded over 300 episodes in the past—covering everything from fitness tips to mental performance, nutrition hacks to recovery tools. But when we went full-time vanlife, uploading episodes weekly got to be a real grind. Starlink has changed all of that.
Now that we’ve got solid, consistent internet (even in the middle of a forest!), I’m thinking: why not start back up?
The podcast is where I can fully express what I’m thinking and feeling—much more than I can through text or social media. And honestly, I miss that connection.

Mountain Bike Progress You Can Feel ????
Yesterday, Emily and I rode a double black diamond jump trail start to finish—and I hit features I wouldn’t have even looked at a year ago.
That moment of realization—“Whoa, I’ve actually improved a lot”—hit me like a bolt of energy.
And it’s a powerful reminder of what consistent, quality practice can do.
Whether you’re working on riding, lifting, running, breathwork, business, or just getting your sleep on track… progress comes when you show up, consistently.
And when it clicks? That’s the good stuff.
What I’m Reading (and Loving So Far)
? The Three-Body Problem by Liu Cixin (Amazon)
I’m only a few hours into the audiobook version, but it’s starting to reel me in. The beginning is a little slow, but now I can tell it’s going somewhere deep.
I haven’t watched the Netflix show yet—I always like to read the book first.
