Day 6 2/21/12
We started Tuesday morning with a Pilates session that got us perfectly warmed up for a great CrossFit chipper workout (see below).
Morning WOD:
Burpees
Double unders
Lunges
Pushups
Overhead squats
Run both hills
Toes through rings
Ten pool rounds
The adventure for the day was Zip lining which was fun, but not quite as cool as the Canyoning that was our first adventure. There was also a bit of sketchiness about the platforms at this tour…
Day 7 2/22/12
On day 7 a few of us wanted to keep the workout pretty low key because we were doing the CrossFit Open WOD the next day. Our low key workout was an attempt to run to a nearby waterfall. We ran up and down the steep neighborhood hills for over an hour, going down every possible roadway, but we couldn’t find the waterfall. At one point we could hear the waterfall, but because of the possibility of running into snakes or other dangerous creatures in the jungle we opted to stick to the dirt road. So we didn’t find the waterfall, but we did get a great run in. While we were keeping it low key, the rest of the group hiked down to the local gym called Mucho MusculoLINK to take the Zumba class. According to them the Costa Ricans can Zumba!
For the remainder of the day we went to Manuel Antonio Beach and went shopping at the local flea market, then ended the day by having a sunset dinner at a restaurant that overlooked the ocean.
