This email is coming to you from a random dirt road near the Snowy Ridge Ski Area in Wyoming.
Here’s what I found fun, interesting, or noteworthy this week…
What I’m watching –
Patty Bauer at the CrossFit Games (presented by the Legends Championship)
You can watch the Masters CrossFit Games competition all weekend long, right here! This includes athletes aged 35-70+, representing the fittest people in the WORLD within these age ranges!
Things I’ve been thinking about –
If you wouldn’t say it to someone you bumped into on a trail (or in the grocery store)… DON’T SAY IT ON THE INTERNET!!!
I was thinking about internet transparency this morning while reading some of the garbage comments on the CrossFit Games livestream. It made me wonder—would people be so rude online if they knew everything they typed could be traced back to their online avatar/profile, and that employers or customers could reference that history?
This would be AWESOME! Just putting it all out there so you’re naked online!
What do you think?
If you don’t want people to really know who you are… think before you say it!
Most fun thing I did all week –
Re-riding the Lithium Trail on Teton Pass (double black)
I first rode this trail less than two years ago, but I’ve ridden my bike so much since then that I almost said it was four years ago before I checked my ride logs.
The amazing thing is that the first time I rode this trail, it was fun, but most of the features were WAY above my skill level. This time, the only features I didn’t hit were three of the largest gap jumps—20+ foot huge gaps! I even did a few run-ins to these bigger gaps and think they aren’t built that great for trail speed. But I’ll keep getting better, and we’ll see next time!
It’s ABSOLUTELY AMAZING how much you can improve a skill when you practice it consistently and then look back a year or two later.
So freaking cool!!!

That’s what I have for you this week. We’re headed to a concert at Red Rocks. Have a GREAT weekend, and fill it with movement!!
Cheers!
Joe
P.S. We don’t have our next YouTube video ready yet because we’re working with our coach to improve it. My head has been hurting from learning so much about video storytelling, but I think, the video will be great when it’s ready to publish. It’s our first video from Madeira, Portugal!
