Happy Thanksgiving and Black Friday! ?
This email is coming to you straight from Quito, Ecuador, where we’re spending the week riding bikes with ActivExpedition. It’s going to be epic!
Here’s what I found fun, interesting, or noteworthy this week…
Black Friday Deals I Couldn’t Resist –
- AirPods Pro 2 – $159 on Amazon
I upgraded to these, and let me tell you—they’re great! I’ve been using them non-stop this week! - Rho NAD+ and Curcumin – on Amazon
NAD+ is my go-to for energy, and I’m giving Curcumin a shot to tackle inflammation. Feeling like a biohacking ninja over here. - Continental Kryptotal Rear Enduro Tire – $71 on Amazon
My absolute favorite rear MTB tire. The grip is unreal. - Fanttik X9 Ace Mini Bike Tire Pump – $35 on Amazon
Game-changer alert: We don’t even carry a floor pump anymore because this thing is so good. - Prolon 5-Day Fasting Kit – $154 at Prolon
We Grabbed two of these kits at 25% off to reset and recharge in the New Year. Who’s joining me for a fasting challenge? Loss of belly fat and mental clarity guaranteed!
Progressive Mastery –
I just learned about this from Brendan Burchard’s High Performance Habits (great book, by the way). It’s also exactly what my YouTube coach has been teaching me—though I realized I’ve been falling short on some key mountain biking goals. Turns out, this framework explains why!
Here’s the breakdown:
1. Identify the skills you want to master.
2. Set stretch goals.
3. Attach emotional meaning to the journey and results.
4. Pinpoint critical success factors and address your weaknesses.
5. Visualize both success and failure scenarios.
6. Schedule challenging practices designed by experts.
7. Track progress and get outside feedback.
8. Socialize your learning or compete with others.
9. Keep raising the bar with new goals.
10. Teach others what you’re learning.
The part I’ve been missing in my mountain biking?
- Adding emotional meaning to the journey.
- Sustained energy for scheduled practice.
Lightbulb moment!
Pivot Until You Win –
If you’re not hitting your goals fast enough, it might be time to pivot your approach. Sometimes, the answer is as simple as switching up your strategy.
Pro tip: A great coach can help you identify exactly what you’re missing. Honestly, the investment in coaching can be priceless for areas you’re serious about improving.

That’s it for today, folks! I hope you’re having an awesome holiday weekend packed with family, fun, and fitness!
