Hi!
I hope you’re having a great start to your Friday/weekend! Here’s what I’ve found most interesting, fun, or worthy of my time this week. 🙂
My latest podcast –
AAJ 124: Small muscles that make a big difference, and you’re probably avoiding
Man oh man, if you want to avoid injuries… this is a solid podcast to listen to. I talk about the common muscles that people avoid training that will eventually cause injuries. Don’t let that happen to you, and get to training these muscles now!
What I’m watching (every night) –
The Olympics on NBC
These people put in SO much time training to be their absolute best that just watching them (even if it’s a sport that you’re not into) can leave a mark on who you are. I highly recommend watching the Olympics for this reason. You can see greatness!
What we are eating (and loving) –
The BIG Mexican Bowl
This is super yummy! And to be honest, I wasn’t really expecting it to be. But it is! So you should try it! 🙂
Be careful, this is really big!
My top Instagram post –
Retesting CrossFit Open workout 16.1. It’s always nice to see improvement!
When you train day after day, week after week, and year after year… it can be hard to see the improvements that you’re making because every workout seems hard.
So, when you are able to retest a workout from a few years back that you did everything you could do (at the time) to do you best on, and you have a significant improvement, it’s really a moral booster.
It’s always good to look back, and see how far you’ve come. This is what I do at the end of each year, and I have a whole podcast on the subject that I highly recommend you listen to (if you haven’t already) called How to close out this year in style. It walks you through reflecting, and helps you to see how far you’ve come.

Anyway, that’s it for the week. Go out and have a fantastic weekend, and I’ll talk to you next Friday!
Cheers,
