Thought I’ve been pondering –
Fun things are SO IMPORTANT
Seriously though, shoot me that message about what you’re stoked about!
I know too many people these days that aren’t taking enough time to do things they enjoy. And if you aren’t doing things you enjoy… what is this all about?
Here’s my strategy….
- First, if you can, make your work something you LOVE to do! Then protect that by setting boundaries to not burn out. This last part is important!
- Take time to schedule things that sound fun. Small things, big things, stupid things, whatever! It’s funny because success at doing fun things is the same as success at fitness/workouts/nutrition. You have intention, then you schedule it, then you do it. #boom
That’s it, it’s simple! But requires you to do it.
Another interesting question is… How do you measure a successful year for yourself?
I’ve decided that a successful year is one that I’ve maximized the number of mountain bike rides and snowboard powder days. I’m still new to mountain biking, so I haven’t figured out a good number of days, but a good snowboarding year is 30+ powder days!
