This email is coming to you from Aspen Street Coffee in downtown Fruita Colorado. Which is one of our frequent stops every time we pass through the area. Their cold brew is exceptional!
And the coffee shop is across the street from our favorite bike shop in the whole country, Over the Edge Fruita. The great thing about this bike shop is that they not only have great bike mechanics, but they teach you something about your bike every single time you stop in. It’s fantastic!
Here’s what I found fun, cool, or noteworthy this week…

Our latest adventure travel video –
This Week in Van Life: Hurricane Mountain Biking – Camping – Workouts on YouTube
I feel like we are getting into a better groove with these videos, and I’m learning so much about how to make them tell a story about our adventures. It’s awesome!!
The treat/not treat we are snacking on –
NoCow Dipped Protein Bars (Amazon) are definitely a treat for those of you that need to feel like you’re eating candy.
There are a few ingredients that I don’t love in these bars, BUT if you have a hard time losing weight, or need a high protein, high fiber snack that tastes like a candy bar… these are a GREAT choice! Give them a try!
Top played social post this week –
Our first ride at 18 Road in Fruita was played 1899 times this week. And it features Emily hitting some hot jumps on one of the most flowy trails in the area. All views and likes appreciated!
Blunder of the week –
We somehow broke our van fridge latch that unlocks and opens the fridge. So now we have to jam a screwdriver under the broken latch to release the locking mechanism every time we want to open the fridge. Hand to face!
After breaking the latch we contacted the manufacture and although they did help us quickly, the image of the latch they told us to buy on their site looks nothing like our latch. But they are confident it’s correct. We’ve ordered it to the local UPS store and will see what shows up today. Stay tuned!

Alright, that’s what I have for you this week! We still have workout programs for any fitness level with minimal equipment needed (bands), so you should sign up today for a free 2 weeks if you need to get into shape.
Cheers!
Joe
PS Something profound that I read the other day was that most people think of an exercise program as something that ends. Is that true? That should not be the case. You can always change exercise programs based on your goals, but you should be on an exercise program your whole life, and you should not expect exercising to ever end (until you end).
Side note. Exercising doesn’t’ have to be in a gym and could be riding a bike, gardening, or even washing cars (this one actually burns a ton of calories).
