Hi!
I’m sitting here at the kitchen table, with my legs propped up (for blood flow) because they are still hurting from running/hiking 73 miles, and hoping that you’re ready to have a great weekend!
Here’s what I found interesting, cool, fun, or useful this week.
The best long distance running/hiking tool that I’ve never thought of before –
VooDoo Floss! If you are a workout enthusiast, you NEED to have a VooDoo floss band in your gym bag.
This tool was a game changer for sore, hurting, swollen legs out on the trail (and is great in the gym). And we wrapped each of our legs every night before going to bed.
You wrap it tightly around your legs (or arms), always wrapping towards your heart, move through a range of motion for about 2 minutes, and it will make your legs feel amazing (or at least rejuvenated) after you beat them up.
What I’m reading –
The Dark Tower 1: The Gunslinger by Stephen King. I was recommend this book series by a friend at the gym during one of our Icebreakers.
It’s an 8 book series, and just to give you an idea of how much I liked it… I read the first book in 3 days.
It’s a fiction book, and Stephen King’s writing is on point! I can’t wait to start book 2!
What I’m watching (right now!) –
The CrossFit Games are live all weekend long.
So, if you’re interested in watching some crazy fit people do amazing things… tune in at pretty much anytime this weekend to games.crossfit.com.
There are teenagers all the way up to 60+ year olds competing. And if you want to see how fit (and amazing) a 60+ year old can (and should) be… make sure you check it out!
My top Instagram post –
Leaving on our Stevens Pass to Snoqualmie Pass adventure! 70’ish miles in 3 days.
This was the first of many videos that I took during our crazy adventure. Also, I have a whole writeup on the blog (if you’re interested…).
