This email is coming to you from our favorite driveway in Enumclaw WA, where we are hanging out with family, and trading snowboards for mountain bikes.
Here’s what I found fun, interesting, or noteworthy this week…

Our top adventure –
Trail running Skookum Flats – Where I had my WORST run of the year!!! But it was also the prettiest run of the year (which says a lot).
Once we hit our goal time for the run I sat down right in the trail for about 3 minutes. It was that kind of day. And I’m happy to have experienced it!
And you should know that we all have these kind of days :-).

Podcast we were just interviewed on –

Coffee + People Podcast – All Things Van Life
It’s always super fun to be interviewed on van life, and this was no different. And you’ll get all the van life updates, fresh off the press!
Workout of the week –
Rogue Runner by The Get Better Project
I feel like I’m understanding video editing more and more, and I SO appreciate it when you let me know through your likes and comments.
This workout can be done in just about any driveway around the world :-).
Thought I’ve been pondering –
Success is the same wherever you’re looking for it… work, business, investing, health, fitness…
People regularly tell me that they haven’t found success in getting into shape or nutrition, but here’s the deal… look at any area of your life that you’ve had success. You probably had a coach/mentor/schooling, worked hard, there were ups and downs, and after persistence you can look back and see how far you’ve come.
Rarely is there a destination that you find.
There are people that would say that I’ve found fitness/nutrition/health success for whatever your reason is (ultra running, CrossFit, abs…), but to me, I’m just farther ahead than I once was. I’ve had numerous coaches/education, worked hard, LOTs of ups and downs, and now I’m further ahead than I was 5-10-20 years ago.
And the cool thing is that I’ve realized I can take this approach for other areas that I want success. It’s a process, and as long as you’re willing to follow it… you’ll be farther along when you look back.
I hope this gives you some perspective for the areas of your life that you want to improve.
