This email is coming from the shore of a semi-frozen lake at Milner Recreation Area in ID. Technically this lake is the Snake River, which is kind of interesting.
And, yes, we still have the van. The first buyer, whom we had a signed contract with and a deposit turned out to be a check scam situation. Absolute craziness!! If you want more details hit me up.
Now we are onto the backup buyer who seems awesome, and will meet us in WA!
Here’s what I found fun, interesting, or noteworthy this week…

Our latest van life video –
Van Life in Telluride CO – Hiking – Fasting – Workouts – Burgers YouTube
Telluride is one of our favorite places of all time. And you know the crazy thing is that we’ve hardly done any mountain biking there, and have never snowboarded there.
It just has this amazing beauty and old school feel about it.
Checkout the video to see if I was able to capture this feeling ;-).
Positives out of the van buyer blowing up –
We got to hangout with some friends in Park City that we’ve been wanting to spend time with for years!! They are awesome, and we will hopefully have many future adventures with them!
We replaced the faucet in the van because it was acting weird and we wanted it to be awesome for the buyer. And although it was super stressful trying to get it done before the buyer (who wasn’t actually coming) got there, the faucet now works better than it ever has!
We found a Mercedes dealership in Salt Lake called Warner Vans that is not only a dealer but an up-fitter, so they can get you parts and handle jobs that are outside of just Mercedes stuff.
We confirmed that Salt Lake is not for us ;-).
The van is immaculately clean!
Book that I’m enjoying –
Desert Solitaire: A Season in the Wilderness by Edward Abbey at Amazon
I had several people recommend this book to me, so if you were one of those people… YOU ROCK, and thank you!!
We’ve spent a lot of time in Moab over the years, and the whole place could be a National Park due to how amazing it is!
This book is about a park rangers season in Arches National Park with stories from the surrounding Moab area.
I love his perspective on how the accessibility of the Parks is ruining them.
You may or may not agree with this perspective, but the general population doesn’t respect the environment, and now they can drive right into these amazing places without any effort, then leave trash (or worse). It’s sad.

That’s what I have for you this week! At The Get Better Project we are still doing the Prolon Fasting Mimicking Diet after Thanksgiving. If you want in… you should get your 2 free weeks, and pickup a Prolon kit. It will be great for this crazy holiday time of year!
Cheers!
