This is coming to you from snowy Yuba State Park in Utah (outside of Richfield), where we had an epic mountain bike ride yesterday! And you should totally go if you’re a mountain biker!
Here’s what I found fun, interesting, or noteworthy this week…

Our latest #vanlife video –
Van Life with that Fruita Mountain Biking Flow – YouTube
Fruita is one of our FAVORITE place to spend a week (or more) mountain biking, visiting the bike shop, and enjoying the local coffee and food!
It still has that small town feel, and some of the flowiest (is that a word…) mountain bike trails imaginable!
Any YouTube likes, subscribes, shares are appreciated. Virtual hugs!
Fascinating article I’m reading –
Running on Empty by Outside Online
If you’ve every experienced adrenal fatigue, which is not a popular diagnosis in the medical field, but 100% accurate based on what’s happening… or you know someone who has… or you’re just a hard charger and want to understand overtraining…
This is a very interesting article!!!
I actually had this happen to me while training hard for CrossFit competition, but (thankfully) have figured out how to keep it at bay (most of the time). It’s pretty scary!
Thanks Jim for bringing it to my attention!
Book that I’ve found interesting –
The Storyteller: Tales of Life and Music by Dave Grohl on Audible
Reading about how others have found success is incredible fascinating to me! And the Audible version of this book is actually read by Dave Grohl, which brings a lot of character to the story of this high school drop out, turned crazy successful rockstar!
Success leave clues. Can you find them?
Thought I’m pondering and you should take seriously –
It’s about to get COLD (and maybe wet or snowy) out, do you have your ROCK SOLID plan for staying active this winter?
I actually think the cold, dark winter is the best time of the year to make improvements in your health, fitness, sport, muscle building, etc.
The KEY is to set your habits early. Meaning if you’re going to be working out after it gets dark outside… you need to make sure you are putting in the work after dark for a few weeks to set the habit.
It will probably feel cold and unmotivating at first, but if you can make it though those first couple of weeks… you’ll pop out the other side of winter looking and feeling like a total stud!
It’s also pretty magical because we don’t usually see what we look like in a bathing suit until Spring/Summer, and you can have some MASSIVE changes between now and then. Serious massive changes!!!
Go get them!!
