How does a fitness program completely change someones life? Have you every had something that seemed so simple, impact your life in an incredibly profound way? If you have let me know, I want to hear about it. That simple thing has been CrossFit for me. CrossFit has changed my life in so many ways that it’s really interesting to write and reflect about it. These are just a few reasons that you NEED to be involved in the CrossFit community.
Community/Friendship
CrossFit has changed my life by giving me a huge community of goal driven, relentless health and performance pursuing individuals. The community amazes me all the time. From the very first person that introduced me to CrossFit, my great friend Autumn Halazon. To the person that actually convinced me to do CrossFit regularly while I was a personal trainer in NYC, Dave Lipson (who’s one of CrossFit’s top strength athletes). To John Britton who’s one of Asia’s top CrossFitters who let me train with him at CrossFit Manila, and introduced me to his friends during my visit to South East Asia. To one of the best people I’ve ever met Scott Rodriguez who owns the box that I train (and practically live) at. I’ve found that it’s extremely rare to find CrossFitters that aren’t 1st class people. Test the theory for yourself, get involved.
Life Goals
I don’t know about you, but most of my life goals involve doing things. You may not agree with this at first, but think about it… Haven’t the coolest things in your life had to do with doing things? Traveling the world… Climbing a mountain… Completing some crazy awesome race… Studying abroad… If your Life Goals don’t involve actually doing things, I think you should reconsider, and challenge yourself to DO more things. At the end of the day, week, month, year, and YOUR LIFE, you will be telling people stories about the things that you’ve done. Think about that.
The Life Goals that CrossFit has helped my accomplish are running 50 miles, which I did with one of my best friends. Completing an Ironman (I actually did 2 of them), that I was inspired to do by my brother (who completed an Ironman a few years before it was even on my radar). And CrossFit has helped me to travel and make friends all over the world.
Spread The Health
This could actually be a continuation of “Community/Friendship”. Shortly after getting into CrossFit, my brother got into CrossFit, and shortly after that, my Mom got into CrossFit, and about a year after that, my sister got info CrossFit. Do I even have to tell you that we are all in way better shape, way healthier, and even that much of a closer family due to CrossFit? It’s not uncommon for us to get together for a workout, or a Paleo dinner. I can’t think of a healthier thing to do with my family. Did I mention that my family also spreads that love of CrossFit to their friends? CrossFit has truly helped me spread health and fitness to the world. One person, one family, one community, one town, one city, one country, one world! We can all do the same thing…
Income
This one is going to blow your mind! Writing and making videos about CrossFit on this blog actually gets me paid. Yup! The internet is a great and powerful thing. Because I have great readers like you, who listen to what I’m saying, and click the links that I put in the blog, I make a small income from my writing. Don’t go and think that this is unique to me… I’m always preaching that people should start blogs about their passions. It’s an income source that you can control, and produce from any internet connection around the world. In fact I’m going to expand my income potential by introducing an 8 week at home CrossFit jump start course, where I’ll be personally coaching you on how to melt fat off your body. How does this sound? If you want to secure a spot in the first group email me today.
Appearance
I’m not huge on boasting how I look, but screw it! CrossFit has produced the best abs I’ve ever had, with the least amount of time devoted. Did I mention that it also produces great arms, chest, shoulders, legs, butt, and anything else that you could want? Well, it does. And the really great thing is that unlike bodybuilding, a CrossFit body is poised to CRUSH whatever life throws at it as well. Do you have any idea how much attention a ripped body can get you from the opposite sex?! It’s a freaking lot! You should test it out…
Wrap UP
If I didn’t list enough reasons why CrossFit has changed my life (or can change your life), then send me an email asking about the area of life that you’re interested in. I’m sure CrossFit will improve that area…
No more excuses for not getting into CrossFit! Now get outside and have fun by working hard! 🙂
