My Favorite things I did and tried in 2011
Started the year by hiking to the top of Stevens Pass Seventh Heaven and lit off fireworks
-New Years Eve is not only an awesome day to celebrate the New Year, but it’s also my Moms birthday! If we get enough snow we’ll continue this tradition again this year.
Snowboarding at Whistler/Blackcomb
-This was my first time to Whistler/Blackcomb, and we got some rain, but it was an amazing mountain!
Signed up for the MindProtein internet marketing MasterMind group
-This is the most profitable thing I’ve done in years (let me know if you want info)!
Ran the 50 mile ultra marathon at Bear Mountain NY
-This was a tough course and due to an injury it was much harder than I wanted it to be.
Completed the ChelanMan Half Ironman
-This was another tough race that had me questioning my racing, but in retrospect it was a great mental test.
Found an iPhone 4 in Greenlake and got it working
-Swimming isn’t only good for you, but you can find awesome things!
Started working out with Scott at StoneWay CrossFit
-This is probably the coolest thing that I did all year, and got an amazingly great friend out of it! Scott is the MAN!
Tried Progenex Recovery protein supplements and LOVED them
-If you want to try click here to get my discount.
Completed Ironman Canada
-This was my first Ironman experience in beautiful Penticton Canada!
Completed Ironman Cozumel
-This was an amazing event that I was able to do with my great friend David.
Got my first pair of Vibram Five Fingers KSO Treck’s and love them!
-I still need to write a complete review on the Five Fingers. They’re amazing for CrossFit and Olympic lifting!
Found Quest Protein Bars
-These are my go to protein bars because of their awesome ingredients (read review here).
Got my first pair of Lulu Lemon Pants and they are COMFY!
-These Lulu pants are pricey, but they rock! I guess that I usually pay over $100 for a good pair of jeans, and I might be spending more time in the Lulu pants, so I think they’re worth it…
Fishing in the Puget Sound
-My cousin took me fishing near Camano Island and we had a blast!
Things that I want to do and try in 2012
MusclePharm Assault pre-workout supplement
-I’ve heard that this can compete with Jack3d as a great pre-workout supplement.
New Balance Minumus Shoes
-I actually picked some of these up as a Christmas gift and will be writing a review after I’ve tried them for a few workouts.
Hike up to Camp Muir at Mount Rainer and snowboard down
Try Progenex Recovery Tropical Vanilla
-I’ve only tried Bulgarian Chocolate.
Back country snowboarding
-This is something that has always appealed to me. I will make sure to go with a backcountry expert for safety.
Go house boating on Lake Powell with a group of my adventurous friends
–Southern Utah is my favorite place in the US, and I want this to be my next visit to the area.
Go to the CrossFit Games
-I will compete in the open competition to see how I stack up.
Flying first class when you get the seats that fold out into a bed
-I’ve had the privilege of flying first class a few times which is awesome, but I’ve never had the full bed seats.
Take a Whitewater kayaking course and then go whitewater kayaking
-This is a MUST do for the Spring/Summer of 2012!
Kayaking or boating with whales in Puget Sounds
And beyond…
Rally car racing school at Dirt Fish
-This sounds unbelievably fun to me and I can’t wait to get into it!
Leadville 100 Trail Ultramarathon
-After driving through Leadville during my cross country road trip a few years back, I knew that I wanted the Leadville 100 to be my first 100 miler. The people in the town were so nice.
Ultraman (double Ironman)
-I don’t know when this will happen, but it was introduced to me during my first Ironman event, and based on the small number of people that actually attempt the Ultraman I knew that I would need to give it a try.
