Have you ever had weird things happen that you can’t explain? Have you ever thought about someone and then they called or texted you? What if you could control this attraction and attract the things that you want into your life. The truth is you can! And writing down your goals every week will help you achieve your fitness goals faster!
Here’s how to do it…
Pick a time that you will write down your goals every week. This should be a fun ritual that you enjoy doing. I like to write my goals in the morning after breakfast so that it gets my day started on the right foot, but I’ve also had success with writing them at night (if that fits your life better).
When writing my goals at night I would make a date with myself every Sunday night over a glass of wine and really try to enjoy the experience.
When you’re writing your goals be as detailed as possible and write them as if you’ve already achieved them. For example: “I ran The North Face Endurance Challenge 50 mile Bear Mountain trail race in 8 hours and 50 minutes on May 7th 2011.” After writing each of your goals take a second to visualize yourself completing the goal and what it will feel like. The feeling of reaching your goals is the most important part. Make sure that you REALLY FEEL IT!
If you don’t feel it, and it doesn’t feel awesome, then you’re not going to want to achieve it.
We also recommend that you write down how you plan to get there. For example, if you want to build muscle fast, you might be interested in trying out blood flow restriction training and seeing how this works for you. Or, you might have another way that you want to reach your goal, so write it down. Any positive thought connected to the goal should be written alongside it. Call it inspiration if you like, it will help get you where you want to be.
All you need to do this is a pad of paper, a pen, and about 5-10 minutes once a week. I can assure you that this will make a huge difference in the speed at which you can achieve your fitness goals.
