What I’m watching/listening to and enjoying –
One of my all time favorite CrossFitters, Jason Khalipa was interviewed on the Tim Ferriss podcast. Talk about two worlds colliding! Jason is an ultra successful CrossFitter, and business owner, running 26 gyms.
The podcast is a great listen to hear how a top CrossFitter approaches workouts, and business.

What we’re eating this week (and loving) –
Cauliflower Baked Ziti. If you’re looking to lose some weight, and don’t have any issues with cheese… this is a great meal! It’s delicious, and very filling, but because of the cauliflower it’s very low carbs.
Almost every night I had to force down more food to hit my carb requirements, but if you’re trying to lose some weight… this is perfect!
Movement that’s making me stronger –
Stiff leg deadlifts (aka Romanian deadlift). Doing these heavy stiff leg deadlifts every week has been great for increasing the power in my pull off the ground for snatches and cleans.
How do I know… because I PRd my snatch last week (for the first time in 3 years), and the portion of the lift that felt great was that knees extended position, right before you redip and drive the bar vertically. The bar is feeling LIGHT!!!

Doing partner deadlifts with @kramee4 at the Devotion Summer Games. We competed in this competition last Saturday, and although I had to leave early to run my real estate event, we made it to the bonus final event in 2nd place, against some regionals level competitors.
