This email is coming to you from our campsite on Hornby Island in Canada, which is a pretty magical place!
They have strange volcanic beaches, really nice people, and a bunch of fun mountain bike / hiking trails! And I hear the Nanaimo bars are also great 😉
Here’s what I found fun, interesting, or noteworthy this week…
Dinner of the week –
Buffalo Chicken Slaw
1 pack organic ground chicken
1-2 stalks broccolini
1-2 cups broccoli slaw
Primal Kitchen Buffalo sauce to taste
Basically just cook the chicken in a pan, then toss in the broccolini and slaw when the chicken is almost done, letting it soften up a bit. Lastly, add the buffalo sauce to taste.
This is delicious, loaded with protein and veggies, and even great if you want to lean up. All of the carbs are coming from the broccoli.
Oh, and I don’t like broccoli at all!! So this is magical! 😉
Play the positive game –
Make being positive to others a game. Try to see if you can make at least one positive or supportive comment to someone you don’t know each day. In person OR on social counts!
And once you feel like this is easy, and things start flowing… add a few more per day.
The challenge/game is to see if you can get to only giving positive/supportive comments.
The cool thing is that your brain is like a heat seeking missile when it knows what to lock onto. And if you train it to lock onto looking for places to be positive, you will start to see opportunities everywhere!!
