This email is coming to you from our favorite cold brew coffee shop in Moab (Moab Coffee Roasters).
Fortunately the temps seem to be settled into the 70’s today, which are WAY more comfortable than the 90’s we’ve had the last 4-5 days. But I could be jinxing it, and the 90’s will come roaring back in an hour or so :-).
Here’s what I found fun, interesting, or noteworthy this week…

Feeling the FLOW –
Riding the Flow Job trail outside of Las Vegas
This is us still getting our mountain bike legs. The views of the Red Rocks Canyon and the surrounding areas in this video are OUTSTANDING!!!
Relaxation tool that’s working great –
So, I know that you’ve all heard about how breathing techniques work for relaxation, but I rarely hear of people actually using them as much as they should.
Here’s how this one works, and is SUPER EASY. Oh, and it’s from the book Breath (if you’d like to get science around this). You simply breath in for 5 seconds and out for 5 seconds. Don’t complicate it.
Just make sure you use full 5 seconds, none of that fast counting stuff around here!
I’m using this every night as I lay in bed reading, and every single time I think about my breathing during the day. And I’ve notice that there’s tension in my head and neck that has released that I didn’t even realized I had.
The book says we should ALL be breathing this slow all the time, and it can help with things like sleep apnea, stress, and all the stress related things that are plaguing us.
One of the BEST workout tools you can buy –
Rogue Fitness Mat by Dollamur (this is an affiliate link)
Guys, these mats allow you to do bodyweight workouts on virtually any surface without scraping yourself up, or getting really dirty.
They are a HUGE barrier lifter for your workouts!
Break down your workout barriers and get more fit and healthy!
I was just reading how high intensity interval training is the fastest way to a healthy blood sugar. Not to mention the fastest fitness results. And it’s what makes up the majority of The Get Better Project (and CrossFit) workouts. Oh, did I mention they take FAR less time than the normal weight training or cardio workouts most people do?
