Well, I’m getting adjusted to the time change (aka daylight losing), and can actually say that I’m enjoying getting up earlier. In fact, I’m using that early wake up to get my meditating done right when I wake up. #CrushingIt
Here’s what I found fun, interesting, or noteworthy this week…

Moments of Flow – The psychology of the perfect ride
My good friend Steve shared this great article on the “flow” one can get from mountain biking. This is EXACTLY how I feel when I’m out riding, it’s amazing!
If you haven’t tried mountain biking… I HIGHLY recommend that you do! I feel like there are quite a few people that haven’t tried it due to being afraid of getting hurt, but the truth is that you can go mountain biking, and get the amazing feelings that come with it, without much risk.
You get to decide the level of trails and difficulty that you want to tackle. And unfortunately social media highlights the people doing crazy things, and we hear about our friend that got hurt that one time, but all the other people telling you how awesome it is get blocked out by our brains survival senses. Driving your car is much more dangerous. OR riding a road bike with cars around. I won’t even do that!
If you’d like to know how to get started… I’m happy to give you some bike rental and trail referrals, just reach out.
What I’m watching –
Lance Armstrong: The Rise, Fall, and Growth of a Cycling Legend on YouTube
You can have your own feelings about Lance Armstrong and what he did. I do not agree with all of his decisions but I do think his athletic achievements were extraordinary, and think we have a lot to learn from him (as an athlete and person).
This interview was outstanding! I can’t remember the last time I watched an interview for 2+ hours, and was interested the whole time.
My top social post –
I’ve been trying to get better at jumping my mountain bike every since getting into the sport a few years back. Side note: no one needs to jump a mountain bike, it just happens to be a part of the sport that I’m fascinated by, and am determined to be good at. And seeing this post on Instagram of me hitting a clean run over these 3 medium sized tabletop jumps being my top post all month just makes me happy :-).
