This email is coming to you from the home of CrossFit Games athlete Patty Bauer. Where we’ve been hanging and training for the last few days. We are feeling nice and sore. It’s wonderful! #gains
Here’s what I’ve found fun, interesting, or noteworthy this week…

Our latest YouTube video –
This one is a little more specific to someone that is looking for a mountain bike pack. But if that’s you… DEFINITELY watch this video, because this hip pack rocks!

Most fun workout of the week –
25 min AMRAP of:
10 pull-ups
10 KB swings at 70/53
10 calories on Echo bike
5 chest to bar pull-ups
5 double DB hang snatches at 50/35’s
5 calories on Echo bike
*Make sure you know how to warm-up before doing this. Hit me up if you need the warm-up.
In our forward facing world it’s SO NICE to have a great rear chain workout! My body is tight from my hamstrings all the way up to my neck, and it feels like it’s pulling me into good posture without having to think about it.
I love it!
PS most people with neck and back pain actually have muscles that are TOO stretched/long, and all the stretching and massage is only temporary relief, and what they really need (for long term relief) is to contract/shorten those muscles through posture improvement and EXERCISE.
Thought I’ve been pondering –
Happiness Recipe
Living in the present and looking FORWARD is so important!!!! If you find yourself letting things that happened in the past bring you down, OR not having an exciting plan for the future (hours, days, months, years)… keep reading!
Something that I’ve learned from being nomadic for the last 4+ years is that having things to look forward to is an incredibly powerful way of increasing happiness.
These things can be as small as the cup of coffee that comes every morning, meeting up with friends/family for food, or a big trip you’ve planned. It’s really powerful to have all of these things top of mind.
THEN… when you are drinking your coffee, hanging out with friends/family, going on the epic trip… soak it all in! Be present and think about how thankful you are.
From there it’s important to repeat these steps. Keep planning, keep appreciating, more planning, more appreciating.
I hope this helps you! If you implement it, it certainly can!
