This email is coming to you from the McCall Idaho Starbucks, which is on the second floor above an Albertsons grocery store. It’s actually pretty cool, but the internet is SLOW.
While I have you… if you like mountain biking… you should put McCall ID on your list. We’ve ridden a couple of our favorite trails of the whole summer in this area! And I probably don’t need to tell you, that’s saying something!
Here’s what I found fun, interesting, or noteworthy this week…

My latest podcast –
Interview with Patty Bauer (my mom) – CrossFit Games 65+ Winner, and fittest 65+ women in the world!
We talk about everything from growing up, to the competition, and even why she thinks other 60+’s can’t get out of their own way to be healthy.
My favorite quote from the interview is “You’re not going to feel worse by getting healthier, you’re just not.” – Patty Bauer
Mountain biking –
Here’s the Trail Forks info for McCall ID.
- Jug Mountain
- Bear Basin – Lots of jumps on this one! Video coming soon to YouTube.
Workout of the week –
Slow Hang by the Get Better Project
A lot of the workouts that we do are very effective at causing body improvements, and this workout does that, but it’s also a VERY fun workout! They aren’t always fun. The results are always fun, but sometimes you have to march through a storm to find paradise.
Thought that I’ve been pondering –
Success partners are a MUST! If you don’t have a person (or two) that you talk to every single week that can give you another perspective on what you’re trying to accomplish in your life… YOU NEED TO GET ONE (or two).
This is true even if your trying to be a good mother, father, friend, co-worker, business owner, etc. You get the point.
This person will see things that you cannot see yourself, and is vital in your success.
You can also hire this person if you don’t have any friends that fit the bill. Let me know if you have questions about where to find this person.

That’s what I have for you this week. If you need anything at all… please let me know.
Cheers!
Joe
