This week in van life –
Hood River & Bend Oregon – This is the first of many weekly van life videos we are going to be doing based on our adventures. If you like this (and want to see more) please hit the thumbs up and subscribe.
If you have anything about our lives that you’d like to see (or know about), let me know!
Snack that we are loving –
Bend Crunch Granola from Blissful Spoon
We are always disappointed by the junk filled granola that most grocery stores sell, when it’s SO easy to make high quality granola that tastes great. But we found some! The Blissful Spoon sells a number of great granola styles!
Workout of the week –
Angry Butterfly by The Get Better Project
Have you ever encountered an Angry Butterfly? Trust me, you don’t want to. Well, except this one… because when you’re bit by this Angry Butterfly you’ll get stronger, better looking legs, abs, and back muscles. 😉
Thought that I’ve been pondering –
How much of a sleep deficit are you in?
For the majority of human evolution we have not had alarm clocks, but for the last 50+ years we’ve been cutting our sleep short to get out of bed and try to make money (for most of us).
And after gathering sleep data from The Get Better Project members for the last couple of years (plus all of the research I do), I’m seeing for myself that the BIGGEST thing that is causing…. stress, lack of energy, poor mental performance, weight gain, poor physical performance, aging (also known as not recovering) is lack of sleep.
When you have to use an alarm clock to jolt yourself out of bed prior to your body naturally waking up… that is you not getting the amount of sleep that your body needs.
I’m going to stop here to let you think about this. But I’ll leave you with one thing you can do to hit your sleep goals… go to bed earlier. Your alarm should be a safety net.
If you need more info hit me up.
