I’m writing to you from beautiful Barcelona, Spain, where we’ve finally shaken off the jet lag and are gearing up for an epic mountain bike adventure in the Pyrenees!
Here’s what I found fun, interesting, or noteworthy this week:
Workout of the Week –
6 rounds for time:
15 parallel bar dips
6 awkward rock/object clean and jerks
20 walking lunges with awkward rock/object on your shoulder
Rest 2 minutes between sets
If you can’t find a suitable rock, a heavy sandbag will work just fine. The key is to choose something heavy enough that you won’t be lowering gently—it should be so awkward that you’re dropping it and getting out of the way! Fun, right?
Super Productivity Practice –
In The 6 Habits of Growth by Brendon Burchard, he shares that research on the world’s most productive people shows the optimal work interval is 50 minutes. That means every 50 minutes, you should take a complete break from your task. It doesn’t have to be long—just 5-10 minutes for a walk or some meditation can do wonders.
Try setting a timer for 50 minutes every time you start working, and follow a 50/10 work-to-break cycle for a few days to see how it affects your productivity.
A tip: avoid social media during your breaks if you want to keep your brain recharged! Personally, I’ve found that meditating for 10 minutes works like a productivity super fuel, but I bet 10 minutes of burpees would be just as energizing!
Travel Hack That’s Made a World of Difference –
If you have a higher-end travel credit card, it’s worth checking out whether you have access to airport lounges around the world. Sometimes it takes a bit of effort to activate your lounge membership or even make reservations (like in London), but trust me, the chance to relax, escape the hectic airport energy, and enjoy quality food and coffee is well worth the hassle. Highly recommend it!

That’s all for this week! If you have any travel hacks you’ve found helpful, I’d love to hear them.
Cheers,
Joe
