This review is based on 4 weeks of taking the Unbroken Supplement, and comparing the results with my previous 4 weeks of taking the Perfect Amino supplement from Body Health.
I originally discovered the Unbroken Supplement at the CrossFit Games. At the CrossFit Games Unbroken RTR was touting themselves as having the best recovery supplement on the market. Perfect Amino’s from Body Health are my regular protein/amino acid supplement that I’ve taken daily for years. Taking up to 20 Perfect Amino’s a day (see below) is my baseline and normal intake.

Food Intake During Test

Conclusion
When taking the Unbroken Supplement compared to my usual Perfect Amino supplement I found these results…
- An average of 2 more mins of high quality sleep
- A 12% higher Whoop recovery score and 11 point higher average HRV
- While having 30.9 extra Whoop strain (out of a daily 0-21 strain score).
This tells me that even though I accumulated more strain during the 4 weeks I took the Unbroken Supplement… I slept better, AND had a higher Whoop recovery score and HRV.
Based on these findings, I do believe that the Unbroken RTR Sports Supplement is the superior protein/amino acid supplement for recovering faster from high intensity workouts and mountain biking.
