I use vision boards and MindMovies to create the future that I want in my fitness life. Doing these things is really fun and easy! For a vision board buy a few magazines and cut out pictures of people that you want to look like and post them on a cork board. You can also use the internet to print pictures. You want to use pictures that will trigger an emotional response. You want to be able to look at the pictures and feel what it will feel like when you look like the picture. Make this a fun exercise and spend a few hours on a Sunday finding your pictures. Then put your vision board up somewhere that you’ll see it all the time.
For the MindMovie you’ll use the internet to find your pictures. Drag all of your emotionally charging pictures into a PowerPoint or Keynote presentation. If you’re familiar with these programs then use transition to make the pictures do fun things while coming in and out of the screen. Once you have all of your pictures ready in your PowerPoint or Keynote presentation then export the presentation as a video. Once you have your video import it into a video editing software and add a great positive song to your video. If you’re struggling with following me here go to www.MindMovies.com and they make a very easy way for you to create your own MindMovies. Or you can go to YouTube and search for “Mind Movies”. There you will have to find movies that are as close as possible to what your personal MindMovie would be.
Now this is VERY IMPORTANT!!!! Make sure that you look at your vision board or watch your MindMovie twice a day. Morning and night is the best way to approach this. You should feel what it will feel like when you accomplish these goals! Really get into this and FEEL IT!!!
I’ve found that the MindMovies are much more powerful for me than the vision boards, but whatever sounds like more fun for you is what you should do. Just get it done everyday and you’ll find that your life will start to change and you’ll be achieving your goals in no time! I’ve used this for every fitness goal I’ve ever had, and now I’m using it for my CrossFit and Ironman training daily. This stuff works! I’m recommending that you use this for your fitness goals, but you can do it for anything, and should do it for anything that you want to improve in your life!
If you have any questions I’m happy to help!
