Can you believe it… we are back in Moab! And it’s supposed to snow for the next hour. Haha! But, we’ve never seen so few people here!
Here’s what I found fun, interesting, or noteworthy this week…
Book I’m recommending to friends –
Four Thousand Weeks – Time Management for Mortals by Oliver Burkeman on Amazon
This book was recommended to me by my good friend, Kendra of Coach.me, and I’ve very glad to have read it!
I’ve been asked what the book is about. I think it’s a thought provoking book that makes you think about your time, how you spend it, and (for me) how you can get more fulfillment out of it.
I thought it was going to be more of a business book, but it’s not that at all. Although you could apply the thoughts to your business or work.
I would recommend that you start reading (or listening to it as I did) and you will see if it’s for you in the first 10 mins or so.
Thought I’ve been pondering –
So, we were working out on a sidewalk at a park in northern AZ (as we do). And a native women decided we were interesting (in her drunken state), and proceeded to sit next to us and tell us all about how she used to workout when she was in school, but would rather be fat now than workout.
I really wanted to get into the benefits of working out with her, but it was clear that she wasn’t in a state to take in what I wanted to teach her.
The thing that really made me sad was that when she was in school no one taught her how beneficial working out is for humans. She had no idea of the physical benefits, health benefits, mental benefits, or any benefits that working out has.
These are things that our schools need to be teaching kids! How is it possible that we need to understand history (that may or may not be true at all) but not how to take care of our health (via fitness and nutrition)?!?! Most parents sure as heck don’t know this stuff, so it’s got to be on the schools.
Our latest YouTube video –
I Think This Is Our FAVORITE Trail in Squamish! So FUN!!
This trail is ridden a little slower because there are a bunch of steep technical rollers with tight turns. It’s a wonderful trail in the woods of Squamish!

That’s what I have for you this week. If you have ANY fitness or nutrition questions please reach out! I’m here to share the love with ya!
Cheers!

PS as if it’s not enough that me and other fitness professionals are yelling from the rooftops how important working out is… Dr. Peter Attia (by the way doctors aren’t trained in fitness or nutrition – mind boggling) says that the #1 thing you can do to improve your health and longevity (aka live a longer and better life) is to workout! Get to freaking work people!!
