This email is coming to you from freezing cold Jackson WY. We’ve been hoping for snow and have only found cold! It’s currently 4 degrees F, and supposed to be -10 tonight. Brrrrr!!
Here’s what I found fun, interesting, or noteworthy this week…

What I am most thankful for (currently) –
The great work that Momentum Vans did when building our van, not only insulating the van for cold weather, but also adding an amazing heating system that is versatile and specifically heats our water lines (freeze protection).
Even in this cold weather (with pop top popped) we are toasty warm with running water. Brilliant work!
Here’s our most recent cold weather van tour (if you missed it)…
Massive confidence building workout –
This was one of those workouts that when we started, we didn’t know if we could finish without modifying the workout to be easier.
The biggest hurdle was going to be the 400m runs, which we were doing on hard packed snow in an RV campground. This is partly due to the slippery snow, and partly that we haven’t been doing a lot of running lately.
But, all of our hard workout was rewarded by both of our fitness levels being higher than we thought, and we were able to finish the workout as programed.
Here’s the workout…
Every 2 mins for 32 mins
Min 1: 400m run
Min 2: 80ft walking lunges holding DB’s at sides (we used 50/35’s)
Min 3: 400m run
Min 4: 10 devils presses (we used 50/35 pound DB’s)
If you are going to give this workout a go… Each of the runs should take between 1:25-1:45. Modify your distance to meet that time. The lunges should take less than 1 min, and the devils presses should take around 1 min.
The tricky part is when you get to the last 8 mins. Enjoy!
Ultimate Home Gym Buyers Guide –
I wrote this post quite a while back, but try to update it every few months. It’s currently my most visited blog post, and includes multiple buying phases for people in different financial and physical places.
If you need some ideas for building out your home (or RV) gym… there are some great ideas in there!
