Sorry that it’s been a while since I last wrote. I have about 10 drafts in my Evernote blogging folder. This last week has been an amazing training week and week in general! I’d like to give a shout out to Lara Bar who added me to their blogger list and sent me some free goodies. Lara Bar is my go to nutrition bar because it’s only fruit and nuts. They don’t put any of the usual junk that most bar companies use for whatever reason.
It was a great training week because all of my workouts were at 100% and my nutrition was right on q! After having a few tough weeks of not feeling like my training was sufficient this was a great rebound. My 50 mile The North Face Endurance Challenge at Bear Mountain NY is on May 7th and the planning for the pre race movie and post race party have begun and gotten me extremely excited to get to race day! There’s nothing like starting a big race at 5am and tromping into the woods with headlamps blazing!
This week I’ve been trying to decide what kind of shoes I’m going to wear for the race. All of my training has been in my Nike Free’s, and my last few trail races have been in Brooks Cascadias. I wouldn’t mind running in the Brooks Cascadias again, but I’m waiting to hear back to see if they’ll give me a pair for the race in exchange for a review on the blog. If you have any products that you’d like me to test and do a review shoot me an email and I’ll send you my shipping address. FYI I will only do reviews on products that I like, so if I don’t like the product I’m reviewing I won’t write the review. I am willing to give feedback to the vendor if they’re looking for it.
