Today was a WOW day! Anytime you get to have a massage, 2 CrossFit workouts, Dick’s cheeseburgers, and Tutta Bella pizza in one day you should celebrate! Or maybe the day in and of itself is a celebration. 🙂 As I’ve said before if you’re in North Seattle or on the eastside you MUST checkout Studio Nine and Megan Paulsen for massage! I had a great massage and followed it up with a CrossFit workout of:
Run 400
50 thrusters @20 DB’s
Run 400
40 GHD sit ups
Run 400
30 kettlebell swings @50 DB’s
Run 400
20 double unders
Run 400
10 burpees
DONE!
I finished this workout in 22:26 and the hardest part by far was the running. I thought the hardest part was going to be the thrusters, but they were not too bad. Gotta love it!
The next workout was in the pool. If you haven’t done a pool workout before I highly recommend that you go get wet! You get a full body pump like no other workout that I’ve ever done. The workout was straight from the CrossFit Endurance website and consisted of:
Swim15 minutes
Rest 8 minutes
Swim 8 minutes
Rest 3 minutes
Swim 3 minutes
Rest 1 minute
Swim 1 minute
Rest 1 minute
Swim 1 minute
Hit the showers!
For some reason I always feel terrible at the start of my swim workouts and feel the best at the end (or last set). I guess it takes a while for me to get into a rhythm. Good thing my Ironman swim will be 2.4 miles. LOL!
After all that working out I knew that this would be the best day for my weekly diet cheating celebration. Not to mention I’ll be leaving for Arizona tomorrow for a week of working out in the sun! Life is good! Anyway for my cheat day I wanted to get back to the pizza place Tutta Bella and I found out today that if you join their email list on their facebook page you get a buy one get one pizza deal. That means 2 delicious margarita pizzas for under $15 bucks! Now that’s a good deal! These pizza are the best that I’ve had in Seattle up to this point. My drive home lead me right past Dick’s Drive In and I had to stop and get a couple cheeseburgers to complete my dinner of yumminess! So as I type this I’m full, happy, and going to be all fueled up for my week of running, biking, and swimming.
