CrossFit Endurance
-Taper started on Wednesday – Here’s my taper plan post
-Packing for Ironman Cozumel – Click here to see the HUGE list of things I need to bring
-Packed my bike into a bike box for the first time. It’s a tight fit!
CrossFit
-When the taper comes it’s always nice to gear down a little bit because you’ve been working so hard for so long, but once your body starts to recover and feel good you immediately want to turn the intensity back up. That’s exactly how I’m feeling right now! On Friday I did the workout “Seven’s” at StoneWay CrossFit, and had to scale everything down, but wanted to just crush it with everyone else.
Gear
–Under Armour Cold Gear Compression Top. Now that the weather is getter cold again I’ve been digging into my cold gear and am re-appreciating my Under Armour Cold Gear top that I wear as my base layer. This thing is WARM, and breathes like an olympic endurance runner!
–Cold weather biking overshoes are essential to keeping your toes from turning into ice sickles while riding in cold weather.
-I wore Peal iZumi fingered bike gloves for the first time this week, and wouldn’t you know it’s nice to not have your fingers feel like they’re going to fall off when riding.
Goods
-I tried Jack3d Raspberry Lemonade for the first time this week, and I can dig it.
Fun Stuff
-Mercer Island CrossFit collected 58 bags of groceries for the MI Food Pantry on Saturday morning! Not only are these guys great people, but they do great things for the community!
-My Mom rocked the Turkey Trot 5k!
-My good friend Matt got a new Stevens Crono triathlon bike! It’s awesome, and FAST!
-Brian, Tara, and I did the first night time snow hike of the year on the Snow Lake trail near Snoqualmie Pass. It was an amazing night!
-And now I’m at the Houston airport heading to Mexico for Ironman Cozumel!
